Daydream
Angels' Main Message: "You will more easily hear and receive our messages if you daydream regularly. Relax and open your mind to receiving, without directing your thoughts. Just notice my feelings, visions, or ideas as if you were watching a movie. This is the seat of creativity."
In our fast-paced world, daydreaming is often labeled as something "bad," wasteful, or a useless activity that doesn't accomplish anything more than holding on to "pie-in-the-sky-hopes." But the angels beg to differ!! While it's true that we probably can't spend a lot of time daydreaming at work or in the handling of business, etc. . . . the angels indicate that daydreaming, when done at the right place and time, is actually a very productive and natural activity. It is a passive activity on the surface, but on the inner realms of thought and feeling, it can be quite active.
The angels want for us to be open and receptive to new ideas, and engaging in daydreams allows us to receive new inspirations and ideas. Daydreaming is not about trying to make something happen or force something with our will. But rather, it's about following the trail of our thoughts naturally and allowing ourselves to look at things in a new way. It's a gateway to the creative side within ourselves.
Through this card of Daydreams, the angels are asking us to be open to new possibilities, new ideas, and new ways of looking at things. We are encouraged to allow ourselves to dream big. For after all, it is the dream that precedes the goal! Give yourself permission to fully relax and let go. Allow your thoughts to take you wherever they will. But let the art of daydreaming truly be a relaxed experience. It's not a time to let stress and worry invade your pleasant daytime dreaming. It can be, however, a great time to just brainstorm for new ideas. Brainstorming means that you don't censor your ideas, no matter how silly they might seem at the moment. You allow yourself to think whatever comes to mind, and through brainstorming, you can actually find a workable way to enhance or create something . . . or make something better in your life.
There is nothing wrong with having big dreams! Big dreams can be a good thing, especially if you also explore ways of making them come true. Don't worry if a dream you hold currently seems impossible or too far out of your reach. The only mistake would be to give up on your dream or fail to consider ways of making it come true eventually. Some dreams can take time to manifest, as not everything can come into reality overnight. The beauty of daydreaming allows new, subtle ideas to come into the picture -- and can possibly show you the next step toward making a dream come true.
Your own inner magic is what helps a dream stay alive. It's that little extra spark of possibility that comes from your heart of faith. While a daydream in itself is not what will create something, it is the daydream that is the first step or idea toward creation and manifestation. It may be just a tiny step, but it's one of the most important ones!
The angels remind us that, without dreams, we begin to wither away and die inside. So don't sell out on yourself and your dreams! Hang on to what is truly important to you. Don't be afraid of your dream or look at it as the "impossible." You can't ever touch a star unless you take a chance and reach for it!
Don't put your wishes and reams on a back shelf just because you cannot make them a reality at the precise time when you want them to happen. Instead, put your dreams -- and your daydreams -- before you where they are always in sight, and you always know what you want to work for. As you hold your dreams before you, it's easier to take steps when possible to get even closer to what you desire . . . until you have finally found a way to get where you want to be. And when that happens -- a dream coming true that began from the seed of a simple, relaxed daydream -- it is truly a wonderful feeling . . . very much worth the effort, work, time, and patience that it took to arrive.
The angels ask you to invest in yourself. Don't place limits on yourself or your creative visions. Dare to take a different path if you feel inclined. Try something new.
