Inner Authority
Inner authority is spiritual energy that comes from the Divine. It is seen in what you say or don't say. It is seen in the quality, tone, and manner in which you approach others -- and in how you approach situation in life. When you speak from a place of love, commitment, and determination, you are calling the forces of energy from within yourself and the Universe toward a harmony of purpose, which is like a wonderful explosion of power when your inner authority is such a positive one. This "inner combustion" takes place when you turn your attention inward and give time to your spirit.The angels tell us that we don't need to ask permission to love ourselves. Most of us are probably aware of this, and we have been told along the way that we are supposed to love who we are. Loving yourself is the most natural state of being human. The Universe encourages you to find your own unique nature within you and live it to the fullest expression. Be who you are and love the person that you are! Nothing less than that would be sufficient to God, or to yourself! As your need for outward authority diminishes -- when you feel less and less like you must "control" all the outward activity and events around you -- it is then that your inner authority develops. You are better able to listen to the voice of your inner mind and your spirit. Decisions come more easily. Acceptance comes more easily. And it also becomes easier to know how and where you can make positive changes in your life. Although you cannot control everything around you or the decisions of others . . . you can certainly be in charge of your own.
The angels explain that inner authority does not come from immediate material gratification or even spiritual success . . . but instead it comes from perseverance. You gain inner authority with the belief and inner expectation that you do have an essential inner beauty that is priceless and worth struggling to uncover and get to know better.
The guidance available from the angels this month comes from the flower image of this card. The angels ask that we all take a long, hard look at the future we each want to create. We are asked to realize that it will never be easier or more difficult than it is right now. The multiple coloring, shape, and design of this flower is a symbolic way to show us that life is never all good or all bad . . . but it's a continual blend of emotional and spiritual experiences and energies. Your life is never totally free of some kind of obstruction, whether big or small . . . and never totally free of some factor that will need resolution. The challenge is to begin to create, one moment at a time, knowing that today, like yesterday and tomorrow, will have its conflicts to contend with. This is how life is, of course. We know this from our everyday experiences. But even when we face difficulties, we must remember that it is not all bad either. There is good in life as well -- and when we know how to approach situations with our own inner authority, we connect with more good things, and the difficult can even become less difficult or problematic to us.
Look at your own inner authority -- which consists of your ability and desire to create, along with power and the discipline you hold for yourself. This inner authority can bring you the required determination so that you are less inclined to be distracted by the demands and expectations of others, and better able to create the future of your choosing. An important point from the angels is that we are the ones who get to choose our future destination. And what we want should be worth it to us to strive for. It's our inner authority that propels us to create what we most desire in life. And so it's important that we allow our inner authority to be much stronger than outward influences that can so easily take us off course from the intended destination. It is up to each of us to follow our inner authority and make the best of difficult times while expressing gratitude and joy for the good times . . . and to keep moving forward in creating what we intend.
Inner Authority also serves a role in the realm of relationship experiences. If relationships are a theme in your life and very much on your mind lately, the angels urge you to consider your opinion of yourself. Do you appreciate your own inner beauty and value? If you do, you are better able to support and interact with the diverse opinions and attitudes expressed by others that you encounter along the way.
Perhaps you feel that others often disregard you, fail to meet your needs, or undervalue you and your efforts. You may sometimes feel like you are overshadowed by others who have more inner authority or more "power" than you do. The longingness you may feel within yourself is coming from a desire to be able to unite with your own true nature and be yourself . . . to eliminate the hollowness and discover a true purpose within yourself. Nurture your own inner authority -- your place of power and self-worth . . . and you can better move into more meaningful and fulfilling relationship experiences because of that. Don't lose touch with who you are! Be in touch with your inner authority and nurture yourself so that you can be as strong and positive as you wish!
