Of all the beautiful angel decks I own and work with, it's the Universal Angel Cards that have remained my favorite -- simple, powerful, and inspiring!  The 88 cards of this set are small in size, measuring just 2" x 3," but they are certainly more than generous in the wisom they offer!  These cards contain a single word on each one with corresponding wisdom and enlightenment in the beautiful 121-page hardbound spiral book book that accompanies the card set.  The single word is written in purple ink on a white background.  On each of the cards, there is also a triangle with a six-pointed star inside the triangle.  And in the center of the star is a heart that holds the yin/yang symbol.  The book and cards are packaged in a beautiful box that has a lift up top -- the kind of box that could remind you of a cigar box or a children's pencil box for school.  The cover of the book and the box hold the same beautiful winged angel who holds the world in her hands -- exactly like the angel images at the left of this bordered page.  The back of the cards feature the lovely angel image holding the world in her hands (pictured above and also on the page border at left).

I never stop being amazed with the messages I receive from this deck.  Sure, there are far more glamorous and fancy deck designs on the market -- some of them being onces that I also enjoy using, such as the work of Doreen Virtue.  But this set seems to "rise above" due to its simple nature and structure.  I like seeing a single word on a card (with absolutely no clutter or distractions) and just allowing the angels to speak to me through my intuition about what that card means for me and my situation -- or for the situation of a client.

Before updating this review for my readings, I decided to pull a card to ask the angels how best to desribe this angel card set . . . and I drew the card of Inspiration!  That single word is so meaningful and powerful.  The following are some exerpts from page 77 of the book for the word Inspiration with some notations from me:
 

"This is a manifesting crd.  Allow your mind to be open and be inspired by Spirit.  It's a great time to breathe life into your dreams."
*My note:  This couldn't be more true for what I envision!  My desire is to inspire clients and to empower them.  The work I do on all of my own sites is a situation of breathing life into my own dreams through the help of the angels' guidance.  And it's my desire to help others be inspired in their lives as well.

"Divine assistance is clearly trying to guide you in new directions.  Follow your inner promptings."
*My note:  I was indeed guided to make some changes to this page review to better reflect the value of this particular angel deck which is my favorite and most inpspiring of all the ones that I own.  And again, this deck may not hold the same beauty as other angel decks that I own and use that have pictures on each card, but such beautiful power can be accessed in these cards, along with the excellent and well-written guidebook that comes with the cards to explain that single word meaning.

"Sometimes this card is validating that you may be given the opportunity to inspire another person.  Always remember to allow others the freedom of choice in all situations."
*My note:  This again is my goal -- to inspire others in the way they need most, just as the angels continually inspire me!  But very importantly, the angels remind us that we need to always allow others to hold the freedom of choice in all situations.  And thus, neither myself nor the angels will ever tell anyone what he or she "has" to do, but the choice will be held within the hands of the seeker -- always!  The angels can help me in giving you advice, but you are always free to choose what you want, whether you choose to follow that advice or do something different.  So the gift of free will is a precious thing that the angels remind us of here as well.
 

After mentioning that this deck does not have pictures on the cards, there are five of the cards that do actually have a small picture on them -- done in the same purple ink as the word cards.  Those cards are called the "Universal Angels" of the deck, and they include:

• Universal Angel Heart

The Universal Angel cards can have a profound effect on the intensity of your experience when asking for insight and guidance.  So these cards have a special emphasis for a reading when they come up.

The book discusses ways to use this deck of cards and also includes some special layouts.  The nature of this deck also leaves it open to the use of many other spreads that you may wish to use, so you are certainly not limited to just the spreads offered in the book.  Drawing a card a day is also a good way to use this deck, but I've found it to be highly effective in actual card layouts as well.  This is the kind of angel oracle that you can bring any concern you have to the angels -- not being limited to just issues of healing or spirituality.  Some angel decks are far more geared to the exclusive use of healing and spirituality topics, but the connection I personally feel with this deck allows me to bring just about any life concern I have to the angels.  And through a simple, yet powerful word, I am shown what I need to know and where things are heading.  From there, it's up to me (or the client, depending on whether I am doing a reading for myself or for a client) to change what is undesirable or troublesome and/or to enhance the positives that the angels show us.
