Daily Guidance from Your Angels Oracle Cards

This is the ninth deck set created by Doreen Virtue, a spiritual psychologist who works with the angelic and fairy realms.  Like most of her other decks, this one contains 44 angel cards which are designed to bring daily guidance and answers.  But it can go beyond just using it for a single daily card draw.  This insightful angel oracle also works well for general readings such as a monthly or yearly reading forecast.  In addition to using this set for a daily card draw, the general reading layouts are my favorite to use with the Daily Guidance From Your Angels Oracle Cards.  The cards also work nicely for one-card draws to receive insight into a concern that you have.  You might be offered a special message of inspiration or motivation.  Or the angels may share with you what you need to do first before you can realize your special wish.

This 44-card deck offers comforting and uplifting messages, helping you set a positive and healing tone for your day, week, or month.  Use of these cards can help you to stay centered and peaceful through the day, and to remember that your angels are always at your side and ready to assist you with all areas of your life.

The 44 cards and accompanying 111-page guidebook are nicely packaged in a sturdy purple box.  This is the norm for all of Doreen Virtue's work.  The cards measure 3-1/2" x 5" which is also the standard size for this author's decks.  This deck has a shiny gilt edging which reminds one of an old-time family Bible.  The guidebook lists the angel cards in alphabetical order for ease in finding the card you want to read about.  The entries contain channeled angel messages and additional card meanings for each of the 44 angel cards.  Blank pages are included at the end of the booklet if you feel inclined to record your notes, impressions, or insights.

These cards offer you positive and loving guidance.  You will not ever receive frightening messages from the cards.  You do need to be open and honest with the angels, because they will hear your thoughts and your questions whether you verbalize them or not, and they will address the concerns you have that you most need to understand and work through . . . which sometimes may not be the very concern you are directing to the angels, but another concern that you aren't voicing but needs more attention.  The angels will tell you what you need to know with words of wisdom, love, and guidance to help you through the day, the week, or the month . . . or to help you during a time in which you particularly need that extra dose of comfort and wisdom that the angels are best at providing.

Each card displays a word or phrase followed by a main message from the angels which the guidebook further elaborates on.  I really like the vibrancy in the colors for the angel pictures presented on the cards.

There is also a beautiful hardbound book by Doreen Virtue entitled "Daily Guidance From Your Angels:  365 Angelic Messages to Soothe, Heal, and Open Your Heart" which was also published in 2006.  This book and the oracle card set are sold separately.  The book is very nice, and I've certainly enjoyed it, but I have to say that I enjoy the card set with the booklet most, because I can physically draw a card from a shuffled deck whereas with the book, I can open it up to an insightful message, but I don't feel the level of participation as I do with a deck of cards.  The hardbound book is not actually a companion to the card set, because the 44 cards and its accompanying booklet stand alone.  But the card set does have a similar look and feel as the hardbound book that Doreen Virtue also wrote.  Like the cards, it has a purple and gold cover with the same angel image that is featured riding a unicorn.  If you enjoy looking through a book and finding the right message for you that uplifts your spirit and brings you encouragement, then I can certainly recommend the book.  For those who like to work with the cards, you'll probably like the cards set most, as I do. But if your budget were to only let you have one of these, I would highly recommend the cards.
